Please join us to celebrate with our LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month! We will be taking it back to those summer camp days by making friendship bracelets and creating encouragement cards to spread love, support, and inclusion.

VSUW Heat Relief Kit Build 

Please join us for a Heat Relief Kit build as we gear up for long, hot days across the Valley! As we all know, Phoenix and its surrounding areas are known for excessive heat days. Let's rally together to ensure we can provide kits for those experiencing these intense, outdoor conditions.

Community Hygiene Kit Build with Valley of the Sun United Way

Come join VSUW to assemble Hygiene Kits for individuals experiencing homelessness in Maricopa County. Many are experiencing homelessness for the first time possibly due to a job loss, home foreclosure, medical bills, or a variety of other circumstances. Other individuals have been homeless for a year or more, or multiple periods (chronic), and have a disability.

These kits provide essential personal care items to local individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity to help ensure their overall well-being.

Community Snack Pack Build at VSUW

Join us at our office for a Community Snack Pack Build! We will be assembling 1,000 Snack Packs to give out to the community to help combat food insecurity. Beneficiaries include nurses at Title 1 schools, Grassroots non-profit partners and more!

Join us at our office for a Community Crafts day to come together and get creative during the Holiday Season! We will be creating Encouragement Cards, Bookmarks, and Dog Toys!

SER-KALLAI’s SHINE 2024: Embracing Hope, Celebrating Strength

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, SER-KALLAI will have for the fourth time festival, SHINE 2024: Embracing Hope, Celebrating Strength, during Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.

This transformative event, combining a Symposium and Festival, aims to raise awareness about the benefits of Emotional Intelligence in children and families and its crucial role in suicide prevention.

We will have community partners and organizations to lead matter-expert workshops, discussions, and activities for all ages.

Volunteer responsibilities include:

• Logistics
• Setup & Cleanup Team
• Coaches / Facilitators
•  Support Volunteers (Workshop sessions, panel, registration)
•  Interactive Stations Facilitators
•  Food Station
•  Health & Safety

There will be water, snacks, and lunch provided for all volunteers.

Mental Health/Suicide Prevention and Awareness Kit Build 

Let's get together to help bring awareness to mental health and suicide prevention by putting together Mindfulness Kits that include items such as coloring sheets that help work on breathing exercises, figet toys and more. These kits help calm the mind and refocus when things start to feel a bit too overwhelming.
